OK... just to clear up some confusion...
THIS Bob is not the Bob who tossed me!!!
LOL!!! We had this huge conversation when the first person called Marley 'Bob Marley'...
I was like, 'hey, we HAVE a Bob already!!!', but it didn't work... Bob Marley 'stuck'.
So, this horse here is a Suffolk Punch/Morgan cross, former PMU foal... adopted by us 3 years ago... This Bob is just green broke, going Walk Trot real well under saddle, but GREEN, he has cantered a few times under saddle, but like a typical draft, he prefers to trot than canter, so it's not like a QH who might canter even when/before you ask for it! A draft has to be pushed into canter... until they lighten up and figure out that is what you WANT...
This Bob is huge... like 16.3 or maybe 17 hands now... 2200 to 2500 lb, and not at all filled out as he will be in two more years! He has a nice riding horse shaped body tho, with huge bone... big feet but not enormous feet... maybe like size 6?
he uses a full QH Tree western saddle during training lessons... and a 6 in. Full Cheek Snaffle bit, and his training has been heavily foundation stuff... groundwork, that kind of stuff. He roundpens, lunges, cross ties etc... still doesn't like baths...
and as for Bob Marley.. he is NOT for sale!!! LOL!!!
not that I didnt' THINK of it!!! but just for a moment...
my dumping is rider error... not Bob Marley Error, although it might be nice if he didn't automatically think/push his 'EJECT' button when I get off balance!!! how rude...
We are going to our third of the four show series tomorrow... and he'd better behave!
it will be raining/windy and cold again... which of course never bodes well for those things. sigh.
I need a seat belt. and bubble wrap
