They all look so happy. What a great place to have them, all that pasture. My favorite is the picture of the girl laying down with Bee. That is one of the sweetest pictures I have seen.

WOW- they all look great! Is that "poor old Annika" that was at Sam's for so long desperately looking for a home? If so-I can't believe how great she looks- I would never have guessed it's the same horse. Thanks for giving them such a wonderful home. That is one beautiful pasture- what lucky horses!!

That's her, she went to sam's, then to slymouse, then to andra out in idaho, then I adpoted her, then back down to OR. I can't find a good BIG flat pasture down here near me so she lives at hytymes.

tate that's a really kind thing to say, I just want to thank you for it.
The thing is it's a two way street, they know I love and adore them and they give the same if not more right back to me.
Right now I work most with Bee and Dulci, you have no idea the feelings of trust that goes back and forth between us, it is divine.

Dulci has the fuzzy nose band on, Bombers has the black leather halter on.
You know where to find me if you want to hang out sometime.

Hey all, quick up date on Annika & Mr Goodbar, his name has been changed to Zorba as in Zorba the greek from the movie!
They both seem to be enjoying the change in climate.
I'm doing corrective trimming on both & a change in diet.
Annika is really coming along, she's starting to do that TWH thing again when she's on grass or sand, sorry I don't know my gated horse terms at all. She is super upbeat & has a lot of life in her. I am trimming & rasping her lightly once a week, after her second trim I ordered 2 pairs boots + pads, I waited to do this because I knew I wouldn't get the correct size for her if I had gone by her hoof size when she arrived. I can't wait to see how she moves once I get her into boots & pads.
Annika has this sort of rainbow energy about her, she is very groovy. She likes to watch me though the tack room window.
As for Zorba he needed a reshaping, a little trim & rasping once a week. So far as I can tell he seems totally sound. I have ridden him twice bareback with a halter, once he realized I knew what I was doing, well, all I can say is he has a lot of get up & go!
He is a really neat horse, very affectionate & friendly! He insists on checking on the tack room at least once when were out, he just wants to pop his head in the door & have a look around, then life is just the way he likes it again.
I have photos but there all crap, so once I get some good ones I will post them.
And yes pipico there all at the same ranch now, Annika & Zorba both seem to like the ranch.
I don't want to ramble so that all for now.

I'm SURE that they won't complain about missing the freezing weather they were used to! No wonder a bit of life has returned to the old bones. I"d love to see if Annika really is gaiting?

piopico Annika is gaiting!
Her boots & pads came in today, so I put her boots on, she took 3 steps, looked around & off we went for a walk! Put it to you all this way, she told me where she wanted to go, so all over the ranch we went & up the trail a bit.
She both walked a 4 beat & gated at the walk speed.
At one point she felt so good she even reared up about a foot & a half, pivoted counter clock wise, came down on her really bad front foot, I'm thinking here it comes, it's all over now. No way Jose! Annika moved as if she had never been lame a day in her life!
We both totally forgot that we should slow & easy right now.
It was truly a great day for both of us!
