Reno is the horse on the right in my Avatar, Merlin is the black gelding on the left, and Diva is the cute little mare in the middle.
I started leasing Reno in August after many years away from regular horse exposure....and it's been worth every penny and such a HUGE stress reliever. He's such a clown, likes to jog with me (I need to make it a habit though) and I swear he'd make a good cutting horse.....best of all, when he hears my voice he starts calling for me. And no - he doesn't get treats until I'm leaving!!! I told Jen she can't sell him unless it's to me....she said the only reason she decided to lease him out was because he's a horse that needs a job, and with 4 (she's also got a TB coming back from a lease/option) she didn't have the time. I'm glad she was too busy!!!!
Merlin (OTTB) was purchased off of a feedlot as Jen's first horse. He's 28 now....and watching him run and buck and play tonight I was amazed that just 3 weeks ago we thought she was going to have to put him down. Vet never figured out what it was, but he was crossing over and stumbling every time he moved. Tonight he was even chasing Reno off to take his old herd back! I think the fact that he's got such a great owner who's on top of what her horses need, and that I told him that my son Chris really wants to learn how to care for a horse, pulled him through. He LOVES attention..... and is very vocal about getting people over to his stall to visit.
Diva is a major lap pony...if she could crawl in my truck and come home with me, Jen and I are convinced she'd be a perfect lady in my house. She is such a good girl....

And Reno and I at Del Valle...I really wish they'd come up with a cowboy hat shaped helmet . I promised my son I'd wear one to get him to.....Hopefully all anyone noticed was my CBER t-shirt!
