30 year old Registered Arabian/Appaloosa MareMiss Sheba's a funny old girl. She came into us last winter starved nearly to death. The owner's excuse was "we didn't know the man @ the boarding place wasn't feeding them". Wait till you see these pictures... Well, after several months of rehab and a good dose of senior grain every day, Sheba is ready for a home. I actually typed "retirement home" - then deleted it. Sheba's not ready to retire - and is actually quite spry! I think she'd make a great horse for kids to walk around on in a level area. SHE thinks she could be the next big endurance winner. Just ask her. If you can catch her. No seriously - she runs like the wind. You'd think at her age she'd be standing around... NOPE. She's got the field to herself and runs and bucks and plays the 'you can't catch me' game. Sheba is free to an approved home who has the means to provide for her spendy senior diet and who is willing to give this girl all the care and love she needs in her last years. She eats very little hay anymore - and in the winter months must be blanketed. (We will provide a blanket if you don't have one.) Sheba is a good 15 hands, registered with the appy club as blue roan - but for the most part is white or gray. She has some arthritis - which could be expected at her age.
