Katie is a GREAT lil horse. She came in with Popeye. She has been used for eveything from 4h to gaming & trail riding. I recognize this mare from some game shows, nice calm mare took good care of the kids that rode her. She does everything when you ask & wants to do more. She is as sweet as she can be.. I didn't find out how old she is, so I'll have to call FLO...but I would guess maybe early teens. If I needed another lesson horse I would take her home...She was just wonderful. www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=1015

You wrote: "I recognize this mare from some game shows, nice calm mare took good care of the kids that rode her." That has to be about one of the saddest things I've yet read. From shows and children, to the FEEDLOT? I hope the good background info and her experience with children gets her off that lot fast! She sounds like a doll! Why does it seem like there are so many Arabs in feedlots? Em Katie is a GREAT lil horse. She came in with Popeye. She has been used for eveything from 4h to gaming & trail riding. As I wrote on the other thread, I just don't get it. I really don't. How she ended up in a slaughter lot is not even close to being understood. Look at the trust in those eyes and in that body posture.
I do have to say, I am going to agree with Apache that this feedlot owner has a good eye for reliable horses and he's willing to give them a chance.

That is about one of the sweetest Arabs I have seen. I wonder how she ended up with a FLO.
