--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Status: Adopted Price: $600 Arrived: 7/11/2006
Age: Height: 14.3h Weight:
Gender: Mare Primary Color: Charcoal Appaloosa Secondary Color:
Type: Riding Breed: Appaloosa Registration:
Condition: Temperament: Training:
TRIX - 14.3 hands, Approximately 15 to 18 years old, Gentle charcoal colored appaloosa mare, with roaning and white spots. Easy to handle, we picked up her feet, she seemed kind and gentle. Seems like an "easy keeper" to have around.
Trix - We had someone come out and see her over the weekend and they said they were disappointed because we said that the mare is bombproof and she acted herd bound. Well without a doubt she is bomb proof on the ground. Great to groom, fly spray, trim feet, bridle and saddle. She stood still while we cinched her however she did make an ugly face and pin her ears when we tightened it. She walked, trotted and cantered willingly, she would bulge thorough our rider's leg when heading towards her paddock but once she was schooled not to do that, she was all business. She is well trained but not ridden on a consistent basis, who would not want to get back to their buddy?
She moves forward, bends at the poll and was willing to do just about anything. Currently she in tender in her right front but she just had her feet trimmed and she might be a little sore from that. Also when we rode her on the hay field her soreness was gone. She was sound when she arrived and sound till her feet were trimmed. We will give her a few days off and check her soundness then.
