Covey - 25+ y/o- 15.2hh- Appy Gelding
Post by cybercat on Nov 10, 2006, 4:03pm
Covey - 25+, 15.2h, appy gelding. This is another horse that follows you around for attention and help. Blind in right eye. Very responsive in the halter and quiet on the ground. This horse would be a great beginners horse, he is so nice and eager to please, neck reins, backs, moves off leg pressure and is just as easy as they come.

I even asked my husband if I could have him for Christmas but he said we can't afford it. ohhhh Such an easy going nice guy who needs to see summer so he can shed out and be happy.

I just called the owners from where I board and no there is not a lower price for horses in the side pasture because they still get regular feed. So I absolutely cannot take him. I just cannot afford it. I do like Covey he has that special nice look about him and I am still willing to cough up another 100. if he gets a home offer. Here is the deal. I really want Covy. But I have donated money and am not rich. I talked to my huband and he said he would support me in my decision to have another horse but that has to be it! I have very little money now but can and always pay my vet bills and I take pretty good care of my guys. I believe. I do pay board so that is a BIG factor. I am submitting an application tonight and if you guys can pay him off and someone can get him and QT him until he can be shipped I can have him. I am going to have to pay for shipping to CA and that is a lot so he would need a volunteer to care for him or QT him until he can be transported if that works. That is the best I can do. And of course even that depends on approval of an app. If I do get to adopt then I will not have money to donate anymore. My money will be going towards board.

And saving one is great, we all do what we can...you have support in your husband and a place to keep a horse...I have finances to donate but my hubby is not supportive of me adopting and we would need to upgrade fencing before we could even bring one home...so we help...one starfish at a time...

Well I couldn't give 10. Mr. Good Bar with out also giving the same to Covey as well so Covey really needs 542.
