Maddy arrived to our house as a rescue. She got chased into a flooding river in November and took a small chip out of her coffin bone. She came up lame so the owners did not want her anymore. Vet said OK by Spring- she has been checked and is OK now. We took her with the intention of re-homing her when she was sound. Not her best picture she kept wanting to walk up to me when taking it- so I kept stepping away and she did not understand what I wanted. Maddy is a 15.2 hand, 20 year old Bay Appy (no spots). She is sound and would be a good riding horse. Trainer states anyone can ride at a walk/trot would prefer over 10 year old rider for canter. She has been used for children and loves to be groomed and has good ground manners. She does have a condition called "Frankenstein Syndrome" this makes her appear a little stiff in the hindquarters. The vet assures us that it is not painful to her and will not affect her quality of life. Maddy believes that she is something special and tries to be queen of the herd. She will be placed to an approved home free of charge. I am not charging for her because I received her free of charge and both our vet and the trainer have been treating her free of charge. She is located in Snohomish, WA.
