8 - 10 year old, 15.1h, black/bay and white stout pinto mare. She tacked up okay, and chomped on the bit some when she was first bridled. After wearing the bridle for a while she stopped chomping on the bit. She rode okay but does not appear to know much. She split reined but did not neck rein or respond to leg pressure. She is green but super gentle on the ground and nice to be around. Please contact Wendy DeGraaf for more information. YOU CAN SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE HERE. Well, I don't know what to think and now I have gone and started a war on the TWR. This is what makes people crazy. I hate when cber shuts down. I probably should have just left it alone. I was just so sure these guys would have gotten saved if it weren't for the weirdo bashers on the TWR. They save from feedlots all over and never have a clue where those horses end up. Why do they bash CBER? What is the difference between them and any other feedlot rescue? I don't get it.

Apache, I understand your passion for the horses, but I am afraid that your post on ABR has done far more harm than good. You did say it was directed to one person, but it was addressed to ALL. Your post was more than insulting; it was like a knife to the heart of those of us who care so deeply about the horses. There is not a day that goes by that there aren't a variety of horses in desperate need posted on the board. Those people have saved thousands of horses and did not in any way deserve that vicious tirade. Pam

It was directed to the CBER bashers who have cause countless horses to suffer because they will not GET OUT OF THE WAY of those who are trying to help. If read completely my intent is apparent. And what just happened was unnecessary. I don't want to see any horse die, but to not post because of the nonsense the bashers cause? When every other rescue posts? That is not fair. When something is not fair I will always speak up. Jessie should have had a chance. So should have the others. I made it incredibly clear. Sorry if you think I would cast doubt on your intentions or that of the FOB's in general. A little yeast levens the whole, you know. Bad seeds should not be tolerated. We save, we are positive, we are changing horse's lives. That bonds us. Anyone who has radical opinions of how an organization such as CBER should be run when that organization has saved over 2500 horses is a troublemaker. Plain and simple. And those that listen to poisonous people like that and go along with them cause horses to die. And it just happened. I am done fighting the internet nonsense. It takes away from my horses. And for the 1000 inquiries again......I save from all over the country and I save who I choose to save, who I am drawn to and cannot get out of my heart. What I pay in order to do that is no ones business because I do not ask for transporation fees. Long post. Emotional day. Please take no offense guys.
My home offer stands for this mare and I will pay QT.

Thank you, apache. The truck days are never easy for anyone and emotions are running very very high.
OK, so this mare was held back from today's truck, BUT SHE IS STILL NOT SAFE! She has a home offer and QT funds but needs bail $$$...she is still on the lot and therefore at risk...

You know what..........I just came back to double check that she is safe because I have never received any reply to the emails to Wendy. Kelly bailed her. I promised her home and QT just as I did Carrie and her foal and Jessie. PEC took Carrie and her foal. Jessie went to slaughter. This mare better not ship. I am on my last nerve. These past events rocked my world too hard. I want to get my saves home and not look back. I spend tons of energy standing up for cber. I put my rescue at the front line to show the nation what great horses have come from the feedlot and I get harrassed because of it, and all that was fine just so it would lighten the grief on the cber girls. But Sophie finished me. Lack of communication, whatever. I still get shaky when I think about the fact that she HAD made it. She WAS going to live. Cannot handle it, sorry. You guys are awesome. Stay strong. Again, this mare has my home offer and should she need it, I will pay her QT. The feedlot owner does not get the QT, so everyone else knows I am good for it. Or just hold back one of the 6 others huh? As collateral! I assume someone will step up that can afford the $300 QT and give this nice mare a home somewhere closer than 3000 miles away. BUT IF NOT THEN EMAIL ME and consider her saved. Or someone with behind the scenes access, please just let me know she has a home panned or something so I can get away from the board for awhile in peace??!! I seriously need a break. My 6 ship out for home here the first week of October.

Apache, you are awesome. I've been here a long time, and events like this past w/e are hard to stomach........but sometimes they happen and I don't judge because I'm not on the front line. I so admire the CBER people who look into those eyes, and can't save them all.

I don't judge at all, I just get to feeling overwhelmed. These guys stand where I could not.....not without dismantling the kill truck when it pulled up.

I thought Kelly paid her bail, Apache is paying QT, so why is she still at the lot?
We have picked up several (5 or 6) horses at the feedlot, and all of them loaded like a charm! How many people out there have trouble with trailer loading? It's amazing how badly these horses want out of there............
