When I saw the $0 balance, I assumed that he had an adopter that we didn't know about. That's sad. But as long as he's safe, that's all that matters. I hope that we get verification of that soon.

Well, someone was supposed to pay off the balance for Jeremy but that has fallen though...
Jeremy's outstanding balance is $618.50, according to the CBER accountant.

To be really honest, I don't think the photos of Jeremy are showing him in the best light.....I know there is mud, but part of the draw of an ad is the photo and how you present the horse.... I have called him "adorable" in my ads, but the photo is not flattering to him. Could we get a better photo?...maybe a head shot, to show off how innocent and young he is...I could update all the photos I have in the ads immediately.
Jeremy has to get a home....we cannot let him ship.

Debbie, do you know if Barb has communicated with Hillarie about being a Backup? He's been at the lot so long that I'm really getting leery about something going wrong.

Barb sent me a copy of the email that she sent to Hillarie. I also spoke to Barb on the phone a couple of weeks ago, and she mentioned that she can be the backup home for Jeremy. She found a new hauler and said that she'd use him. He can only haul two horses though.

OK, let's get this moving on Jeremy.....where do we stand with a back up offer? Was there any money left over after Pete got adopted to move to Jeremy? What do we do to make sure he will be OK.....can we get a plan going? I am stuck in my momentum for all the other horses, because I can't give up on Jeremy. He is on CL, but unlike Pete, he got little response. What are we going to do for him???

Wish I new what else to do for him. There are so many horses now that I am afraid some will ship. He is just too young to ship. He needs to be able to have a good life.

I said I wouldn't let him ship, and I won't. But really need to have him adopted. If he's not adopted, I'll take him. You wonderful ladies are stressing so much over him just like I was, I can't take it anymore. If we can't find him a home in two weeks, I'll take him. He'll be taken off the lot so he won't ship, but I hope we can still find him a home. If he had a bath, and an update on his description saying he's fine and not at all sick, it would probably help. I know you can't give him a bath in freezing cold weather, just saying I bet he would have had more interest.

Thank you, rescueall...I'm glad to see you back online.
Please make sure that the PS knows your plan, and Marlene too...if Jeremy can get cleaned up while in QT, then maybe we can find an adoptive home for him...

To be honest, when I first saw the photos, it wasn't the mud that made me go "hmmm," it was his size. I realize he is a yearling, because I read the assessment, but having a human that large in the photo give the impression that he is a pony. Since most people would see the photo before reading the description, that could hurt his chances quite a bit, at least with someone who is looking for a horse.

I can't imagine chuck allowing him to be a feed burden on his pockebook much longer!!
My gut is telling me that he will be lost forever come Saturday's slaughter shipment. Kelly
