ADOPT FEE: $825 Zen - 6 - 8 year old, 16.1h, bay Clyde cross gelding. We were told (but do not know first hand) that this gelding has been started and is a little rough to ride. He is a reject from bucking stock and we were told that he never bucked (again we do not know first hand). He is gentle, kind and impressive to look at. He leads but needs work on giving to pressure. He has a snotty nose and was started on pen by the feedlot owner. He is a stout, sound, well put together gelding. He is built a little uphill and not super heavy like a full draft, so for those that like draft crosses as sport-horses he might be the one. $TBD Please contact Heidi Antonie for more informationwww.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=740

He does look very sad, poor thing. Very nice big boy though. I like the draft crosses, you get the stoutness with just a little sportier looks.

Was he not ridden because of the "bucking stock" info or because he was sick? He looks really sweet and sad. How are his feet?

penny & paintedlady - Please confirm with CBER that your donations are available to be re-directed from prior horses (e.g. Aegean) to Zen.
If they were only pledges - and you didn't send the money to CBER - then you can re-pledge that money at your discretion.

PLEEEEZ! What's going on with this guy? Any outright interest? Do we need to start raising money? How is his nose? Will he ship if he's sick? Will that be enforced if "sick horses don't ship"... 'cause I thought most horses are sick at the lot...Update?

Lauras, I don't know about him being sick but there has been some interest in him. As far as I know nothing is set, I have seen people put in apps, get approved and then back out at the last minute. I think that until something is posted that they have been adopted it is best to just go along like they are going to ship. Better to be safe than sorry.

It is my understanding that this horse has a legitimate home offer, the adoptor can afford the QT & transport but needs a little help with the bail amount...I'm trying hard over on TW..but they are getting tapped out after raising almost $40,000.00 for a rescue last week.

So, the truck is coming on Sat. and more horses were evaluated yesterday. Is it possible for someone to update the status thread so that we know which horses need what?

Well I just got an Email from Hiedi she said she has someone that is interested in Zen so if he is adopted outright then my 75.00 may be available for another horse. I just wrote her back to confirm that I could do that. Penny

I'm not sure but, this horse looks just like a horse that lived about a mile from my house. The people seem to have horses come and go. If indeed its him, he was sold last summer, they even had him on dreamhorse. He looks identical and they listed him as 5 last year.
