I emailed a rescue in Cali to see if they can still take a horse, asked if they had room for two horses as well...why is everyone so quiet on these guys??!!!

Very unfortunate outcome! But It is time to pull ourselves back up for these two and get it done!!! We need ideas to spread the word they both need home offers ASAP!!!! Anyone here have the space for one more!!! Updates are needed PLEASE so we know what needs to be done for Cavalier and Pastel!!! I see on this thread that $ 65.00 has been donated, we need to know if there is any more, UPDATE ugly truck, how much time left? Any home offers? Please someone update us so we can know what we have to do? Maire

I just heard back from Marlene... the totals needed on these horses are listed below. At this point, they do not have solid home offers - so there is the potential that these numbers would go down by any home paying some of the money.
Cavalier = $836.10
Pastel = $1,013.46

We also are renewing our efforts on ABR to reach out to more people who can help. Anyone who has any connections to Draft rescues or palamino organizations, or whatever you can think of, it might help. I am posting some ads for them tonight. I know that Cavalier had an ad at BAEN already.
Aleta
There are alot of members out there...maybe you have never posted here before....but if you have an idea or friend of a friend who might help, please come forward and join the mission.

anything firm on this gorgeous guy? keep coming back to him-surprised he wasn't snatched up immediately, but maybe his size is intimidating considering he is not broke?

Updated photos coming... Jeff rode him yesterday!!
"Cavalier does not know much but was gentle and calm while Jeff rode him. He even stood close to the tractor for Jeff to get on. He did not buck or even try to just did not know how to turn or anything. A super nice guy getting a little snotty from being at the feedlot for so long."

Considering the "bridle" that Jeff was using, I'd say this would be an excellent boy to adopt. Wish my landlords wouldn't notice him!

First post here, nice to see the passion here for these horses. My adoption is pending for Cavalier, and I have put all the money up for his adoption and QT and set up a vet account. He will have a wonderful home to go to where several rescue horses live already, and I am very excited to begin working with this awesome guy!

Welcome Trish! You picked an awesome guy, what a hottie!
Please be sure to post lots of updates, Cavalier has many admirers here!!
You wouldn't by chance have a friend who would be interested in the Belgian mare, Martha, who just arrived on the feedlot ??

I was looking for the pen to write something on the board in the feed shed but coulndt find it....I was flabbergasted when Michelle told me - after you said a horse was out of the question until your son was done eating up all your money ;D ha ha you bit the bullet...took the bait....he really looks wonderful. I hope some space is there....maybe he will make a good roomate for Honey or Rhiannon? So happy this boy in coming to town!! See ya.

Thanks for all the sweet words of congrats . I'm so excited to see him that I may fly up to WA next weekend to give him some nice organic applies and carrots from my place and of course a huge hug ;D. I've been showing his pic to my friends, and the concensus is unanimous, "he's a beautiful horse!" I feel so fortunate to have found him in time.
