Have Sam send you a picture of her teeth. You can get a better guess on her age. You can try to send the picture to your vet and they may be able to give you an estimated age. It won't be exact but maybe close.

We all hope our rescues aren't PG, but the WOW of when it happens...Tell your mom it's like waiting for your first grandchild to be born... I was a nerves reck, then DW Mocha was standing there...We all were trying to see if it was a girl or boy..So we waited for her to pee, yes pee and we all said "it's a girl"...

So... I had to check with the person to make sure it was ok with them, but I would like to thank Kelly. Most of you dont know it but she is the one that out of the love in her heart paid for the remaining bail QT and transportation fees on Chia for me! So Kelly I have a little surprise for you IF she happens to be PG, I am going to leave the naming of the foal ALL up to you Cause both Chia and I love you! YOU ROCK KELLY!! OH and.... I am sure after baby is weaned.... my mom would be more then happy to give her/him to you Cause she doesnt want 4 horses long term

Kelly, I want to add on to Tarra's thank you! I really appreciate you stepping in to help with Chia's bail and QT. If I was in the better spot I would have loved to adopt her. I am so glad Tarra was able to and I can't wait to get to meet her and work with her. So...Thank you Kelly for making it possible, and thank you Tarra for sacrificing to be able to get her (and for letting me work with her once she get's here)

Ok, do I wash it off somehow or just let it stay on her? It comes in a big round cardboard tube... you hold it by her fur and squeeze and it PUFFS right out and onto her fur. Puff it all along the top of her neck, down her back and down her tail, then do her sides. Make sure it gets lots into the hair roots of her mane and tail. You leave it on her, once it is in. Repeat in 10 days. Do this three times total. If you have her in with other horses, you will need to do it to them too since lice is highly contagious. Don't use things on her that you will use on another horse unless you clean it darn good first. But horse lice is horse lice... you won't get lice from her. You can get travel papers for a horse with lice, but they will mark it on the papers. I had a horse last year that I got from the auction who needed to cross borders to his new home. We were already treating the lice, but we weren't done with the three doses. My vet had to call the state vet because she wasn't sure if she could give travel papers because of the lice, but sure enough, she could. Also, vet told me that ivermectin wormer helps with lice too, but it won't get rid of them - you need the powder for that.

Is her muzzle/nose swollen through the sinus cavity?? Maybe she is just a bit hairy - just looks a little swollen in the photos!
Congrats on your new kid.

I just noticed this girls mane. It is awfully short if she has never been messed with. It almost looks like a mane that has been pulled and is growing out. Either that or it is has been chewed off.
Is she doing okay? She looks like she isn't feeling very well in the pictures to me. She just isn't nearly as "bright eyed" as she was in her lot photos.
