Lola (now named Cinnamon) is turning out to be quite the lover. She follows you everywhere in the pasture and wants to "help" or just check out what your doing. She is totally enjoying her daily brushings that Katie is giving her and we actually put Katie on her back the other day-she didn't do anything. In fact, we have flapped things around her, thrown things in the air and by her feet and she never batts an eye. Maybe we finally found that 4-h horse. Will keep everyone posted with her progress.

OK, this horse can probably be moved from QH to Gaited horses. The vet was out Wednesday and she labeled Cinnamon as a Tenn. Walker. When she gets out and trots, there's no way she is Quarter Horse! The other part is the vet thought she was only about 3yrs old. She still has her baby teeth that she won't loose till she's about 3 1/2. And the fact that this baby already had a baby- oh the poor girl. Hopefully she'll be headed soon to the stables and we will begin breaking her to ride. We are still trying to get the weight on her but she is as always, an lover. A true hip pocket horse.

Wow, so does she trot? Or does her front and back go at a different rhythm? What a surprise. Lucky Katie!

Janet(my daughter-in-law) was wondering if you were asking if she paces, or single foot gate.Katie not so sure about being lucky right now she just wants a horse she can ride.yesterday. Hopefully Song will do till cinnamon is trained more.
We really need to get her in a arena, to see what the trot is.

Marcia, I just had to write and tell you how interesting your name choices are. Our Beverly (from CBER) became Lola, and she is close pals to our first rescue, Cinnamon (original name). Great minds think alike! (You don't happen to have a Gary, Bourbon, Lady Ambrosia, or Oreo Cookie, do you?!) ~AJ

Cinnamon, is back home again from the stables most of the horses had left and she was lonesome. She has been a very good girl, no jumping out of this pen its higher with a electric wire. There horses on three sides she doesn't care if they are minis and the yard is on the other and I think that is the big thing with her. She likes to see and be close to people, for she is a talker. Katie is out of shool now and can work with her more.Plus Katie recieved a scholarship from the Ann Beckner Foundation for horse related instructions which she is looking forward to. We hope Cinnamon will be able to attend some of the class with her.

Cinnamon is at the english trainer and doing great in her schooling. We had told the trainer that she will jump a fence. Trainer now knows first hand, they took Cinnamons pasture friend out for training and she wanted to go to. Over the metal farm gate she went, about 4 1/2 feet. Janet got to see her do it here also before we took her to the trainer. She couldn't believe it and with the grace of a deer.
Will try to get some up date pictures to post.

Cinnamon, tried to jump a gate again at the trainers and hurt her leg so she has been home since end of July. Her leg is fine. There was a good sale on E-Bay for training equipment that we needed for large horses so purchased equipment since Janet has had experance in training, showing in English riding she has taken over her training. We have had no more jumping fences, or trying to when she is tired of her training. as she did at the trainers. I think she likes being home with us.In fact she is coming along very well with her ground work.( lungeing, ground driving etc). Will try and find time to get pictures of her training, for with Janet training her I have extra minis to work.
In one of are earilyer post I stated that Cinnamon had extra gait . its a running walk, that she does on her own when in a large area.
