BRUCE ALMIGHTYAge: 12 Height: 13'1 Sex: Gelding Breed: Pony x - Adoption Fee: $460.00 Contact Placement Specialist - Shawna: tufnspendy@aol.comBruce Almighty is a POA type pony. He is broke to ride, but was pretty fiesty. Didn't really like the idea of us putting on his bridle, once we got after him a little, he was a really good boy. I was told that he has been turned out & not rode in 3 years, so he acts pretty spoiled. I wouldn't suggest putting any beginner or young child on him. But he would be a great project for a small adult or teenager. He just needs to be reminded that he isn't the boss. He did ride bareback, humped up but never did try to buck even once. I was told that he was used to being rode with a saddle & we didn't have one. So he may ride slightly better under saddle, but I would still not suggest him for a beginner.

My god this horse is beautiful! Very nicely put together- although needs some hoof correcting -, he may be a little green but I bet he is an easy keeper and strong as an ox. The kind that heals up quick from anything and never gets sick.....just my intuition and from a pic no less. But I got my horse from a pic and I WAS SOOO RIGHT ;D

None of these horses have pics on their thread yet.
Are you unable to see them on the website?

This is a nice looking sturdy little guy. He could pack a smaller adult pretty easy.

Heck with that hunkin butt he could carry a regular sized adult!!! what are you guys thinkin', 'small adult' this guy is a big boy! small and mighty, that is him. and he'd probably make an awesome pony club mount with some training too! cute as a button and a great motor!

I'm praying for this guy, too, that he finds a good home. He looks like the sensitive type who can really bond with humans. He's also absolutely gorgeous! He looks solid and sturdy, and like a very easy keeper! Does Bruce have a home?

I have to say i am dissapointed in the CBER process. A week ago i submitted my application and photos, I have e-mailed shawna twice and have yet to hear from anyone in regards to my application. I even sent an email to the CBER rep that lives in my city inviting her to come out for a home visit, and i got no response! Now it looks like it is too late. Too bad for Bruce and the other horses. I would have been a loving home. I thought this was about saving horses, not watching them be shipped off and killed. How upsetting!!!!!!!! I will go to the Twin Cities auction in the morning and see who I can save on my own. Last spring I picked up Sonny there, 200 pounds, feet trims every 4 weeks and cushings meds later i have a wonderful boy that is the best behaved horse on my 14 acres. HI Michelle, I sent the photos in from Pooch@ harbornet.com. on the 22nd in the late afternoon. I am at work until 4:00 and have no way to resend them. A suggestion for CBER... inactive people should be listed as inactive on the website so that people don't e-mail them.

Let me speak here........I have Duke and Little R with me now. They were from this feedlot. This feedlot owner ships direct to Mexico. IF A HORSE stands out to him and looks like they really, really should not be shipped, he pulls them out and brings them here to give them a chance. If you saw and were in the company of Duke and Little R, you would understand that the feedlot owner has one amazing eye, for the horses he pulls out are nothing short of awesome. They are special and gifted and stood out to a TRAINED eye through the midst of hundreds. So, if you are wanting a horse, trust that these horses are above and beyond what what the photos and write ups show. I have the proof and you could not buy Duke, my (Captain Jack Sparrow) for a million bucks, I kid you not. Little R (Pocohantas) already has a line up of people begging for her. Trust me, these are special, special horses. Give them the chance, even our most disliked person on earth did!
