We just got her...no name yet... Hubby wants to call her "Cupcake"...Naaaaaa...I don't think so. She still has her winter woolies from Wyoming. Very sweet little filly. VERY curious. VERY SMART! She already knows how to knock my camera bag OFF the post. She was working on the latch to their corral. MUSTANGS are SMART!!!!

Well, I hope you DON'T name her cupcake, since I think she deserves something more special than that, but I can sure see why he would want to call her that! She looks like a yellow cake cupcake with a swirl of white frosting on her face! Yummy!

I've always liked the name "Califia" (cal-if-EE-uh): she was the mythical Amazon warrior queen for whom California is supposedly named. If I ever get a warmblood filly, that's what I'll call her.

What I like to do with naming Mustangs is find out where they where captured & then find out what indian tribes are/ where around there and name them something in their native language. The Mustang I had was named Sakari Sunfire. Sunny for short. ;D

Here is a photo of her I took this weekend (Memorial Day)... GOT MORE CARROTS? She's got the rubber bowl in her teeth. She turned it over, looking for more carrots! Little bugger!
