Miss Piggy - 15 y/o- 15h - Registered QH Mare
Post by cherie on Sept 8, 2006, 9:37pm
Miss Piggy - 13 year old, 15h, chestnut registered QH mare. Missy will come across the yard backwards for you to scratch her butt! She is not sound however her feet are in terrible shape. She is nice on the ground but has probably only been used as a broodmare as she does not know much. She leads and backs but did not want to pick up her feet.
Name of Horse- Miss Piggie
Adopter- UNKNOWN

What are the soundness issues? Is it something that can be corrected?

This mare has great QH bloodlines and also is broke to ride according to the lot owner. She has been a nice mare with me and the lot has done damage to her poor feet which need care, when she first came into the lot she moved soundly.

I have someone interested in her but wants more information. Here is what she wrote:
"I went into the website and found the information on her that you wrote about.
I want to know why she is not picking up her feet and is it possible to know what she was broke to ride for, and her bloodlines.
I really want to make sure she would be sound enough for the trail riding as currently I have a horse I purchased that was suppose to be sound and has arthritis in her shoulder so bad that she could never carry a rider. I won't take her back where I bought her because she is such a sweet lady I can't seem to let her go, she is so appreciative of the attention and seems very content.
I decide that my next horse I bought wouldn't just be a pet in the pasture I really want a companion to enjoy the great outdoors with.
Please give me more info as her personality fits my profile."
