Project Nutmeg - Needs $500
Post by cybercat on Nov 29, 2006, 10:14pm
20+, 15h, black mare. She was a little hard to catch but dipped her head in the halter once caught. Responsive in the halter, quiet temperament...... She was great to ride, backs, neck reins, whoa's on command, turns on a dime.... Nice confidence builder. She has some abnormality in her left front foot and the ground was frozen and uneven so a soundness assessment can not be 100%. She appeared sound at time of assessment.
Please contact Vickie for more information.

Nevermind I did find it and sent a message. I would also consider a foster to adopt it needed. I just don't have the cash right now due to just getting back from a week trip to SC to see inlaws and with Christmas coming up. I have a barn full of hay already for my other horses and everything else she may need. So if we can get her bailed she will have a great home and a teen that will love her for a long time!

It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about this lady. That some girl out there cared enough to braid her tail but then she ended up here. Horse lover I really hope you get her. She deserves to have a nice home. I guess if her last home let her end up here it wasn't that nice of a home to begin with.

I guess I need to contact Vickie again as I still have not heard a yes or a no. My daughter would LOVE to have her as a christmas gift if we could manage a GA by then. (again if I am approved) I hope to do it soon as I go back to work next Wed... and then it will be more difficult to pick her up off the lot. Anyway, I will e-mail her again.

Nope, nothing. I have e-mailed twice. I don't understand why I can't just get a yes or no answer. I have been approved to adopt and have two at my house right now that are fat and happy!... If needed, she does have a place to go as I would be more than happy to take her and give her a good home if she is bailed and can even pay who ever bailed her back after the first of the year. I don't want her to ship.

I picked my Top Two out of this group and decided to pledge $25 for each of them. Nutmeg is number 2. So I'll pledge $25 to help her find a home.
modified to add This mare looks like she would be a perfect 4-h or youth horse.

Ok, heard back and was told that I could not take her. (even though I already have two CBER horses) Too much water under the bridge here. I do hope she gets a home, she doesn't deserve this fate.
