BRIAR (Soxey)- 11 y/o - 15h - Reg. Mare
Post by foxie on Feb 15, 2006, 8:19pm
BRIAR- 11 year old, 14.1h, dark chestnut Quarter Horse mare. She leads and backs, she did not appear to have too much handling when it comes to picking up her feet. She did try to do what she was being asked and picked up her front foot, but it did not come automatically. She is quiet, nice on the ground, easy to halter. Came in with Cherri.
$700

Marcia, go ahead and fill out the application and contact her PS. Are you willing to pay her bail? If so, you can paypal it directly to CBER or me and let the PS know. If you don't adopt her you can get your funds back. What she needs to be kept off the truck is bail paid. We can't say how long she has because it is up to the feedlot owner when the truck comes tomorrow. If bail is paid and an application has been submitted she will probably be ok. But....make sure you contact her placement specialist and post your intentions on her thread.

I know I'm not offering much here as I just don't have the funds (I know most of you are broke now too!). But I can afford the feed and vet care.
So, as a last ditch effort to not loose such a nice mare...
If anyone, or CBER wanted to put up the funds and trans on her I will get her re-homed after getting her thru QT. At her price and shipping, she would be easy to re-home to recover these costs back to whomever.
I've already got my girlfriend Sable under saddle on the lunge and lay across her back as well as walking my 8 yr old on her. These horses are quick to accept love and a job. If they have a sane mind that is!
here's Sable asleep with the saddle on!
I wish I could offer more, I'm sorry

Marcia,
I am in Potlatch and may be able to quarantine for you. My sister Amy just called me, apparently you called her looking for a place to quarantine. BIG hurdle will be talking my husband into it, but let me tell you what I have to offer before I talk to him. That way if you're not interested I don't have to bug him.
28x28ft area with 2 walls in one corner (N & W sides). It was to be my mustang pen but we never got the roof up. 7ft high fence. I'd need a 4' gate to hang there and a trough, maybe you already have these and can bring them here just while she's here. $125 a month board. We're near Junction Lumber, about 10 minutes from Palouse.
If you're interested PM me and I'll talk to the hubby.

Briar was dropped off at Sarah's house yesterday! My Hubby and I picked up Ohana (delicious) and gave Briar a ride to her tep spot.....with slight confusion if you have talked to Sarah or Macintosh's new mom! First we tried to take the wrong horse (macintiosh) and then got the houses confused and tried dropping Briar off at Sarah's neighbors house!..............I have got to stop drinking before I haul horses :x so, anyhow, through all of that Briar was a perfect lady, she loaded right up into the trailer with out any fuss....and my last spot in the trailer is a tricky one! she led very nicely on the road down to sarah's house even with their neighbors riding next to us, two cars passing us and two very excited horses in Sarah's pasture right next to us!
she is going to be a great horse for you Marcia!
