O.K. there are four horses left and truck comes MOnday, My feeling is to switch my pledge to the horse that needs the most money but he does not have a picture which saddly means his chances of having a group adoption at this point are low. So my pledge goes to the horse that needs it. The one that has a home offer, None do right now, so as soon as and when one does get one, then that's where the money goes, They are all wonderful looking souls waiting for their new best friend to find them.

Very good news! A horse that automatically picks up his feet and has 4 shoes on him is definitely broke. I'm only reading his picture here but from the looks of his demeanor I would guess he's dead broke, gentle, and willing. Updates, please!

I'm very happy to report that I just got word - Zephyr is officially adopted!!!!
And - thanks to LEanne, Splendors pictures are up too. Very similar in looks to Zeph - but much younger, a little cutie!

I'm only reading his picture here but from the looks of his demeanor I would guess he's dead broke, gentle, and willing. Thanks for the reassurance! I am hoping to be able to "share" him with friends. I just got off the phone with one of my oldest (as in longtime ) friends - we've been finding random horses to play with together for the past 18 years - and let her know I got a horse she can (hopefully!) ride. She's already in love with Zeph! He's the most beautiful horse she's ever seen. Poor girl has been paying for riding lessons for years just to be around horses. Ha Ha! Jokes on her - I'm just using her to ride Zeph when I need a trail buddy for the boys! She's also excited to "learn how to take care of a horse" - Step 1) rake poo up in pile; 2) get shovel; 3) push horse off pile...

You know, I'm actually more excited with Zeph than I was with Web and Manny. With them, I was so scared because I was feeling my way along the adoption process. Plus getting horses again after so long. Getting young boys that needed training. How to get 'em down here. Getting the fences and barn cleaned up. All that stuff. I know what to expect this time so I can just look forward to getting him here.

Congratulations on adopting Zeph. He is the twin to my QH/TH. I wouldn't have been able to watch this boy ship. I am SO glad he has a home! I was marking report cards at school and checked on him this morning. It made my whole day.

Does this get moved into "Our Horses" or do I have to wait until I actually get him home?
Zephyr update: In qt at Sam's. He has strangles (hard abscess ready to pop at any time - time to do the pus dance!), but he's still eating hay well. Per Sam: "He's sweet and happy to be off the lot." Got new pics to post later.

Here's the latest pic of The Zephster! Think he's getting too fat? At least he's getting competition and exercise from Manny & Web, now!
