20 year old, 15h, bay QH type gelding. This solid stout guy was great on the ground, picked up his feet automatically and in general was a real gentleman. He needs foot care as his feet are very short and he is a little tender footed on the rocky footing. He was great to ride! He was responsive in the halter and to leg and rein pressure, even responds to whoa! For anyone looking for a gentle older pleasure horse this is your guy! Please contact Deb Logstrom - avalonmistfarm@msn.com for more information. www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=723ADOPTION FEE $675.00

I keep coming back to this one. I love this guy. Boy I would be in so much trouble if I lived closer. Right now my saving grace is the QT and the shipping.....

I love him. I wish he was younger! Darn it. What a beauty. He's EXACTLLY what I'm looking for only I was hoping at least 5 yrs younger. How old is anyone's oldest riding horse without issues (arthritis)? I just don't want to fall in love only to have to figure out what to do with him in a few short years because I don't have room for just a pasture pet.

I sent Deb an email. Have a few particulars to work out but if we can work them out he's found an admirer and a home.

Birdmom....Don't let the age turn you away from a great horse!!! They thought my TB was about 12 when she was on the lot. Turns out she has a tatoo and she is 25. I just got up enough nerve to ride her after having her for a year ( I'm a wimp when it comes to riding horses I don't know anything about) ...she is GREAT! Has more energy than my QH and shows no signs of arthritis even after a good trail ride. I may not have her for as many years, but I lost my 9yr old QH after having her for 6 weeks due to a bad colic. So you never know, just enjoy them while you can.

No. He's been outright adopted by someone else. I'm glad he's found a home but I'm back to square one. Sigh.
