Yes, everyone, there SHOULD be a space to note which horse it's for so please be sure to do so. (PH and PL - you guys always include the name, no worries there!)

I just shifted the $50 I had pledged for Horus to Andrew. I sent email to both Deb and Heidi since I am not sure who is around this weekend. It was receipt # 1408-6819-6510-5672. If Andrew is not close to having enough funds I put in instructions to shift it to whoever could use it.

Is there still time to bail this guy or has he been tagged? Enough time has passed, we ought to be able to find out.

Funds were raised on the TW site to cover the bail needed for the 4 newly listed horses. Now we just wait and see if they got pulled in time.

Sometimes it gets hard to remember that there are WAY more good folks in the world than bad. Seeing these horses week after week dumped here it's hard to not think of the faces that abandoned them here and it seems we are fighting such a losing battle but holy cow look at how many are saved! What a blessing.

acarlson1980- Hi there! Thanks for your generous offer...
Are you familiar with the adoption procedures for CBER? You need to download the Adoption Application from the CBER website and fill it out...also send in pictures of your facilities for the horse...they also ask for references... The offer to home Andrew is fantastic and I hope you get him, and let CBER know ASAP so they can get started on your references! We like being 'clued in' here on the board, but CBER is the official source and they make the decisions, not us...(although we love to offer our 'advice'!)

I have Andrew- for right now we're QTing him- as soon as we can determine if he will get sick we'll do shots and worming- then the farrier and maybe x-ray his irregular foot- we've got him on some cob ( he didn't know what grain was) and vitamins with biotin in it for his feet. We may look for a home for him but we've got an appt with a ground work trainer that uses Steve Rother's program as a base and then we'll start riding him.. They're often very different when you get them home - than they were at the feed-lot and he is changing, getting really friendly. At the feed lot we had to trap him to catch him but now he's walking right up to you and letting you put the halter on. Just a first impression but we may keep this horse for ourselves- we really like him so far. I think he is only 3 and he's big - he's 16 hh now and will probably get close to 17 when he's done. CW
