A New Kill Buyer has agreed to let us rescue off of his lot. We have until Friday 6/29 to place this horse or she will ship. 13 year old, 15.1h, QH type mare. She was gentle on the ground and easy to ride. She was sound at time of assessment and quiet enough for me to get on bareback. Until we find a rider I will ride these but do not expect to see me on the horses for much longer. Also if you see me on one you have to know that they must appear quite gentle as I have lost my nerve since being bucked off! She was in heat when we rode her and she seemed like she might be a dominant mare but other than that she rode very nice. Responsive in the halter and to my leg. We were told by the lot owner that his young daughter has ridden this horse with no problems. Will make a great trail horse. www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=779Please contact Deb Logstrom for more information. YOU CAN SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE HERE. Please fill out your application carefully, especially your contact information and that of your references, and Vet. Incomplete applications will result in delays in getting approval! Also, please don't forget to email pictures of your facilities as soon as possible, along with your name to CBERApplications@yahoo.com .

I have them on TWR. I posted the CBER link. The pictures did not show up. Someone has already sent $200 to CBER I am guessing. I asked for homes, not money!

I have a home for star if you think we can get her bailed by then. My 4 nephews are still waiting for a horse they can ride, and take care of. I was told that they have to stay over there for the quarentine. How much do they charge and do they pick them up from the lot? How long is the quarentine time for? We will be just starting to cut hay in about 3 days, weather permitting and we put in about 4500 bales so with good weather it will take 3 weeks, then I am all hers.

So Star has a home offer? If that's so, can we start focusing on getting her off the lot? I'll start with $50.00

You need to contact Deb regarding adopting this mare. QT runs about $300 per month plus any meds. yes someone can haul them off of the lot.

Can we find out how that $200 from TWR was earmarked? If we KNOW it is going to Star, then we have $325 for her, but if we can't use that $200 we have $125. Can anyone here find that out?

tufnspendy@aol.com is acting as a contact person for the people on the TW board. She could probably answer your question about funds.

When posting for homes and receiving adoption funds instead. . .take what you can get! These horses need both! There usually isn't time to wait on the money part. I don't pledge anymore, I just send money immediately as I'm not on the computer all the time. Thanks to everyone who can offer homes or quarantine or financial donations. It takes all of it to help these horses.
