When Barbaro broke his leg in May of 2006 I was totally devastated. I
checked on him every day and found the Tim Woolley site by early June.
Because I checked on his progress several times a day I saw a picture of a
very old TB that was posted by CBER in an attempt to find out who she was.
Annie led me right to Terryn. I don't have the words to describe what
happened to me the night I found the "GONE" portion of the CBER site. I
decided that I wanted to adopt a horse and turned in an application early in
October. When I saw Terryn's picture I emailed Deb the very same night. By
Saturday afternoon she was mine. I was going to drive up the following
weekend and pick her up. However, by Monday she was getting sick. She
ended up staying with Deb until the middle of February. Many tears were
shed during these months as she had a close call with death. Deb's great
care pulled her through. I will never forget driving up to Deb's house and
seeing Terryn playing in a field with a very BIG horse. I loved her before
I touched her, but touching her made everything real. After an 11 hour ride
home she was very glad to walk off the trailer! She bonded almost
immediately with our other horse (they share the same birthday-month, day,
and year!). I am riding her in a riding club that just started last week.
I am going to do parade and drill with her to start. This horse means
almost more to me then I can put into words. I feel like I have waited all
my life for her. Without CBER none of this would have been possible.
THANKS to all! I would also like to thank my husband for his support of and
interest in this horse. He never once said a word about the money that was
spent on her.

How fitting that a horse whose registered name is Ms Copper Fleet should have her picture taken with the Kennecott Copper Mine in the background.
Terryn and her friend Cisco. Cisco is a registered QH.
