Hi all not sure how many of you are from the old CBER board but some of you may remember Spring. She was the blue roan filly that came in with her left leg deeply cut just above the cornet band and across the back of her pastern. A wonderful suporter paid her bail and vet bill, Heidi spent countless hours doctering her up, and I adopted her and finished where she left off. I just wanted to post and let you all know its been about 1 1/2 years later and she is 100% sound and has been started under saddle and is making one young lady very happy. ;D

Oh, yes, yes. I remember her. . .in fact, I was just thinking about her the other day. She was the one that followed the volunteers around the feedlot and kept lifting and pointing her leg toward them asking them to help her. I am soooo happy to see this new picture and for your comments. She's gorgeous, too!

Hi blueponygirl. Just pm TashGaia and ask her to move it to "Our Horses". :-)
Spring sounds familiar, but must have been right before I found CBER. She is lovely and you are obviously taking great care of her. Thanks for the update.

ORIGINAL THREAD FROM OLD BOARD SPRING - This filly wouldn't get far enough away from me to take a good pic- she was letting me hug her and she was following me and holding her foot out to me. She has a beautiful expressive face and she was very sweet. This injury is fixable- needs to be completely removed ( the huge flap and bulb thats almost cut off) then treated and pressure bandaged for a long period of time to prevent proudflesh, etc, wrap will have to be changed frequently add it will be work , but they can end up looking pretty good if cared for diligently. i tried to get profile but she stayed by me and I didn't want to run her off. $TBD Contact: pagani@msn.comA note on all sponsored horses: these horses were purchased from an eastern Washington dry lot with the assistance of the Columbia Basin Equine Rescue. Her leg is almost completely healed and with no proud flesh!! It is down to only one cleaning and medicating a day and she is actually been able to be turned out to play for the last few weeks. I am really happy to say she shows no sign of lameness even running, bucking and doing rollbacks in the arena. I think it will be a minimum of scaring also. She is a very sweet girl and has such a personality, we just love her!! Now that I am not doctoring her twice a day I promise to update the other 2 soon![/quote] Ok I could not figure out how to put these on one page hope these work!! YAY!! I wanted Spring myself, but I'm SOO HAPPY and RELIEVED that she's doing better! Wow! You go girl!! She really looks great! Got to get over to see her in person and soon! Yay for Spring! She sure is comin along! This is such good news! Thanks so much for the update. She's a beautiful horse! I've been thinking about her for what seems a long time and hoping that everything was turning out OK. I love this filly. . I'm glad to hear she was adopted. I was worried, I hadn't heard about her in so long. What a pretty girl she is!
