Finally, today came!!
We went and picked up Aztec & brought him home! He is a love! I will send a few pictures, if someone can kindly explain to me how to accomplish this task.

Yippee!! congratulations! I remember so well how that arrival day felt for me, last October, when my two girls arrived in California from Washington! You must be over the moon!
As far as posting pictures (and you'll note I've never done it myself!) you can look in the FAQ section, and there is a great description of how to do it with a photobucket account. One of these days I'll get up the courage to face the task myself!
Congratulations again, Kelly!

Great idea Shannon! It never occured to me to put myself up for adoption! My parents aren't doing such a great job of supporting me, so maybe I should look for someone else who will (and who has some land, and nice stalls, and a beautiful view, and a hot tub. Hmmm, what other requirements should I post?)

Ok, Well Aztec is now my husband's horse. Tee-Hee, that was my original intent!
Anyway, my husband asked me a bit ago, if he could ride Aztec & have me lead them around (he isn't a horsie guy, but he does ride a 'Hog' (Harley Davison)). I don't have a saddle big enough for him yet & last week Aztec got his teeth floated & it was recommended by the vet that we use a biteless bridle due to old scaring, cuts & a missing molar, etc.
Anyway, so he got a stool & climbed on him bareback, with just a halter & lead rope for reins, and picture this, he was in running shorts. So I ponied him around a for a short time & then he took over & rode him all by himself! He was neckreining & having fun just walking.
Then when the ride was over, my husband promptly hopped on the quad to find some wild growing alfalfa in the field to feed Aztec for being such a good sport.
Anyway, just had to share!! Oh yes, Lovie (Granny) was having a tizzy, trotting back and forth & calling out to the horses while he was riding. Kelly

Kelly - I have a non-horsie hubby too. I'm hoping Doodle turns out to be a very calm, well-trained trail horse so *maybe* Kevin will ride him.
Aztec sounds like a wonderful horse! So glad your hubby likes him - too bad you didn't get a pic of him riding in his running shorts............now we all have to make up our own vision........ hhmmmmmm........
