12 - 14 year old, 15.1h, QH/Arab mare. This mare would have ridden much better in a saddle but she did not buck just did not appear to have been ridden bareback before. She is a little green and did not give great to leg or rein pressure but was willing. Sound at time of assessment. Please contact Tash Johnson for more information.EMAIL:sand_tiger@hotmail.com$795HOME OFFERS:there are a couple of backup offers...

She is beautiful. I agree, after everything they've been through, behaving so well, for somebody that jumps on them bareback with a halter.... They all deserve a loving home

Hmmmmm, here's what I'm thinking for this girl. I'm trying to get the boarders at my barn to agree to add $10 to their monthly board to sponsor an on-going paddock area for rescues in need. I'm going to agree to pick them up from Yakima, get them vet care and farrier care and some training. I will place ads and seek to re-home them with an approved adopter when the time comes. If this works out I'll always have a home for one and when that one gets adopted then another......you get the picture!!! Maybe this girl could be my first? ??

Well, I'll talk with the owner and post this on the bulletin board tomorrow, if push comes to shove you can count on me for a home offer for this girl. I have one other option for her. I found someone looking for a companion horse for their mare......board costs $100 per month. So either way it goes, I'll take the horse that no one is stepping up for. I did it with Serengeti and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. I'll PM Tash, and let her know I'm the back up home offer for this girl.

I am worried about this girl . If she has a backup home offer with Shannon... we just need funding to get her safe is that right?? Let's get to work! I'll start with a $50 pledge.

Funding would indeed get her safe, but a outright adopter would be best...
Also, Shannon is offering a foster home (thank you Shannon!), not a forever home... so anyone that is wanting her, don't be reluctant to step up because you are thinking that she already has a home offer.

Remember the Angel Fund has around $400 in it! It can be used if you are an approved adopter...

Estrella is at very high risk. She has been there longer then most of the others and is very heavy for her type. Judging by build I would say that Estrella, Rocket, Payday and Surrey are at the highest risk - in that order.
