17 - 20 year old, 15h, red roan gelding. As you can see this horse needs to gain weight and when we ride him he probably will not ride like the same horse once is is fit and in proper health and body condition. he is kind on the ground, nice to handle in the halter and automatically picks up his feet. He is clean legged and was sound at time of assessment. This horse has a great eye! $420 Please contact Wendy DeGraaf for more information. www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=914

It's so sad how many are betrayed by people. I wonder if these people would also get rid of a cat or dog so easily. My cats are stuck with me for life!

Sadly I think they do.... I think they dispose of relationships with people as easily, too. And I think we are all looked at by "them" as the ones with the problem.... BTW: I love this guy... He should hang out with Sophie...

Sorry, guys, I just don't have room for another. Sophie makes 7. That's okay, you're doing your share for the horses. There's got to be a good home out there for him!

Good news I hope. My friend Stephanie is going to adopt Jacob and Nanny, she filled out application for both today, just waiting approval from Wendy to post their bail. If anyone would help with quarantine that would be wonderful. They will have a great home!!! Brenda

I think it's a done deal!! I've paid QT, Bail and Paypal fees for Jacob and Nanny. I was afraid to let anymore time pass. I still have my fingers crossed. They should be pulled tomorrow. ;D I would love to save Tyler too, because she is Jacob's girlfriend, but I am really, reallly at my limit now Stephanie

Well, I can't leave Tyler behind I'm waiting to hear I'm an approved adopter and I will pay QT and Bail. Now we need to focus on all of the other horses that are going to ship. I've crossposted on another rescue board. This is such a nice group of broke horses! Stephanie

Stephanie The horses so depend on new folks coming forward like yourself, that are not totally full up with rescues. Thank you so much - you dont realize how many human hearts breathe a sigh of profound relief when someone like yourself comes along and will take 3 at once. Please help spread the word to other newcomers and keep us all updated with the ups and - yes - the downs of your progress with them. We are a community that helps each other alot so hope you stay with us

Thank you for welcoming me into this great community of rescuers!! I will definitely watch the site daily and spread the word. I'm so relieved my new "kids" have been pulled to safety! I knew I wanted Nanny and Jacob, but the more I thought about it, I HAD to save Tyler too. I told Deb " I can't give Jacob a new life and break his heart at the same time" Well, I am maxed out with rescues NOW ;D I'm working on rehoming 3 of my rescues, so I will help again when I free up space! I pray for the ones who have to get on the ugly truck. Stephanie
