Jack o' Lantern - 17 year old, 15.2h, Johnny Mule. He is easy to catch and lead. Was okay about us messing with his legs but did not want to pick up his feet. From the main CBER BB, farmgirljen is offering a home and submitting an app:
"Well I am trying to sell some stuff(tack, etc) so that I could put money towards his bail- we just built our barn, and did it ourselves- so I am strapped a bit right now, until i get a couple boarders in there- I am doing an app though, and if anyone wanted to help bail him, I would love to get him! You can pledge it here, then be prepared to go to the CBER store and donate under "one time donation" or pull fund buttons. Be sure to put in the comment section that it is for Jack O'Lantern. Or you can just donate money now, the same way, but the risk with that is that if he gets "overbailed" or g-d forbid not saved, then your donation just goes in to the general fund, and you don't get to switch it to another horse. Not that that is a bad thing, but sometimes it's nice to be able to send help to a specific horse. If you just PLEDGE the help here, then when the full bail has been pledged, everybody who pledged will go make their donations at that time. Clear as mud?! Really, I'm pretty articulate in real life, but get me on these threads and I read like a bad novel!

He needs $600 now- I know I will be able to contribute a little- just not sure how much yet. I am selling/sold some tack to see what I can come up with to put towards him, and am going to check out the angel fund too- we just finished our barn, so I am a bit strapped, and trying to decide do i just come and get him immediatly- or do i have someone QT him for me,and then come get him, or can I have someone meet me with him somewhere-either way, will need to budget for it accordingly... so many things to learn doing this!

If you have a place to QT him yourself it might be the best option...I'm under the impression that all local QT facilities are full. Modified to add...shellyr provided QT for the CBER horse that I got...you might check with her for space...she's really reasonable cost wise and can haul off the lot, too.

Not trying to be personal here, I don't know your situation, but I put my horse on my Mastercard to bail her. It's a good way to be able to make monthly payments, or to at least delay payment for a bit. It would be a sure fire way to make sure bail is in in time. If you don't have a cc or it's full of building material expenses, well, then that's not an option, but I just like to remind ppl that paypal does take credit cards.
