Jade continues to do well. Kate has the halter thing down now. I still have to use a treat!
Picks all four feet up. She will have her feet done next week. She leads well. Heidi did a real good job with her. She is very sweet.

Jade is doing well. Dean has put a few pictures up here and there of her! I can easily halter her and she leads well. She is a bit jumpy at times, but so am I. Her weight is good and she is just full of white hairs. A very unusual color. Heidi says she will be grey. Dean says one day I will come out to see her and won't be able to tell who she is.

Jade was seen by Dr. Dana today. She has had a bit of a runny nose for a few weeks but in the last few days seemed to get more thick etc. Didn't look yellow or green. She has a bit of a cough as well per the Dr. although I have not heard it. No fever. She got a shot and is on SMZ's and Vit C for 2 weeks. My daughter Kate told me that horses get sick real fast and die.
Guess we have all seen that from healthy appearing horses on the board one day and gone the next. Anyway. Don't think she is going to die. The vet told me she is a very nice horse.

Jade is much better. Her snotty nose is mostly gone. She has so many white hairs now. I am afraid one day I will go over there and will not be able to find her. She will be gray! Rachael told me this PM that the SMZ's work pretty fast but she still has over a week more left.

Kate is back. I have been under orders to leave Jade alone. Kate says one screw up on my part sets her back. Kate is so funny. She says she knows what a horse is going to do before the horse does-well all except that Jack who bucked her off. She has a fix for him too!
We shall see.

OK folks. I need advice or maybe I should call it HELP! I rescued Jade a coming two TB from the lot last April. She was unhandled. She stayed with Heidi until June and has been at PEC. My daughter helped me a little with her but has now relocated. I believe it is the best interest of Jade to re-home her. I would like to find a home where she will be able to spend a long healthy life being loved. She is roaning out and may still turn grey but who knows. Heidi says she is a very smart and sweet horse. Pam, the farrier, worked with her some yesterday and says she is light and responsive and smart. Jade needs to be somewhere where she can be worked with frequently. She has become herd bound due to my inability to handle her daily. I think if she were in the right place, she would overcome this fairly quickly. Interestingly, Kate thinks she would be a good project horse for a teenager who has no fear. I have considered putting her into some training and then re homing her, but Kate thinks there might be someone out there who would like to do this themselves. My intent was to save her and find her a nice home as a young TB is not within my range of experience. I am willing to donate her to an approved home with the intent that she will never be at risk of going to auction or slaughter. Anyone have any ideas? Diane

This is one cute little filly. She's at the age where she is full of herself, but is very smart and wants to please. She's very athletic and will make an experienced person an excellent mount!
Edited to add: I will try and get some updated chubby pictures. At the last clinic someone asked if she was pregnant...opps.
