Blk yearling TB colt. He is gentle but does not know very much. He allowed us to halter him but does not appear to be halter broke. He is a good looking well put together colt. He is young with a developed immunity anyone interested in him might act quick to avoid a long QT period. He toes out a bit and has a hernia. At time assessment the hernia looked big but the hole is small so fixing it should only require a hernia clamp. www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=788Please contact Deb Logstrom for more information. I called my friend about him. She was interested in Napa, but didn't hear back (sent in her application) on his status so gave up.
I'm hoping she likes Alpine. He's going to be a gorgeous horse! And my friend would be a wonderful home.

So glad he's safe! Sadly, he doesn't capture my friend's heart quite as much as Napa did. I tried really hard to talk her into him!

I have a real soft spot for TB's and just love this guy. Has a vet looked at his hernia? Did he come in with Jade?
Forgot to ask, how tall is he now? Any guess as to how big he might get?

I have some friends, a young couple, who adopted both Alpine and Colorful Spectrum. They are so excited with these two babies, it's been really wonderful to watch them bond. Alpine is already following them everywhere, leading, giving to pressure, backing. He will let them sit and stroke him while he is laying on the ground resting. So trusting! He has the kindest eye and was truly looking for someone to join up with. I will try to get some pics of the happy family.
They just met Colorful Spectrum yesterday evening when Sam brought him to her place from off the lot. I will post on his thread. It will be fun to hear what they name their new babies.

Thank you for this wonderful news! I can't wait to hear how they settle in. Have you invited your friends to join the board? I'm thinking it should be a requirement of adoption: "I hereby agree to update the Rescues Only board with frequent photos and cute stories, on penalty of forfeiting my horse if I fail!"

They haven't been on the RO board yet, but have been glued to the CBER feedlot site. I will definitely have them sign on and I'm sure they will keep us updated.
You're right! It should be a requirement! :0)
