Isn't Solstace a gelding?

No, Solstace is a mare... which is why it kept throwing me for a loop that you and some others kept refering to her as a gelding on the AB board. She is a nice pretty mare though!

"although FOUR people (all prior, approved CBER adopters) have posted on this board that they would be a last-minute back-up home, if needed to keep her from shipping, inluding JenM herself, frr2, chrisw and BarbinVa."
Hi Nanci......I'm listed here as saying I could back up but I did not say that. Even though I would love to have a horse as beautiful as Solstace there's no way at this time I could afford that kind of shipping! Sorry but the other offers are the cream of the crop for homes anyway!!

JenM... We have the bail money, home, QT, transport, vet all arranged for Solstace. Chuck just has to agree to sell the horse to Heidi. Chuck will not do it now unless he knows that CBER does not have an adopter for Solstace. If we truly want this horse to be saved we can do it asap. Please pass the word along to Sam. Lynn

Tash....I wasn't the one that posted that Solstace is a gelding. Someone else did. I thought it was from a CBER rep.

Hi Everyone,
When Sam was at the feedlot last night, Solstace was following her around the lot. Chuck was able to clean up some of the mud and the muck and she got a better look at Solstace, she is alittle taller than Sam originally thought. Also she thought her back legs looked fine.
She is not only a beauty but a sweetheart. Lets' get her bailed!!

Hi Lynn,
Your first post about your funding and prep for Solstace is still here...it wasn't deleted...

I just spearheaded the funding for the Twins. I paid for their transport to Texas. They were adopted by a little girl and her family. Living the life of Riley on 100 lush acres outside of Austin. Becca has an enlarged fetlock. The vet suggested she not be ridden, so she is having fun just keeping Bella company! I had the pleasure of working with them while they were in their foster home. Just cuties! Thank you for asking!

WOW...you can sure tell the grays are the popular ones....I placed ads for both her and Marly on equinenow.com the same day, same time.... So far Marly has only 73 hits, while Solstace has had 326!! CRAZY!!!

Everyone, I am happy to announce that Solstace will be coming off the lot today. The risk of her getting sick or injured while on the lot is too great. I couldn't stand the thought of her being on the lot any longer, so I paid her bail yesterday. She will be in QT at Sam's. We have had good interest in her and it's just a matter of finding the right match. If the right home is not found, she may very well end up living in California with this previously approved CBER adopter and her CBER family, which really isn't so bad:

That would be just too funny if she was PG and Jen ended up with another long-earred suprise. If she is pregnant, she will end up at with Tash at El Rancho de Gaia. I have had my long eared surprise and it is so very wonderful that I think everyone should experience it at least once!

I just have to say i know the person who adopted this wonderful horse. She has landed in one of the best homes possible. She already loves treats, has a new pal, and if the weather were not so cold she'd have a bath. Instead, she's go a warm stall and plenty of love and a great life ahead of her.
