4 - 6 yr old, 15.1h, tatooed ( E letter on tatoo ) grey TB mare. This is a friendly young TB mare. She is curious and was easy to halter, lead, handle, check teeth and look at her tatoo. She is well put together, looks sound but it is very muddy. Her back right tendon does not look normal but I am not a vet so one might want to have a vet check done. Tattoo: E48930 Please contact Jen Marek for more info. www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=1042

When I sent money for Lucky, I sent it to donation@columbiabasinequinerescue.info. There was a box on the lefthand side that I clicked on to put instructions as to where I wanted the money to go.

A very generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous has offered to pay for a vet check for this beautiful girl. I don't know if we have time to get this done, but we are looking into it.

She needs a home offer more than money.

A woman from Texas responded to an ad I placed an equinenow.com. We have been in touch throughout the day and she said if we can find her a home, she would be more than willing to help with Solstace's adoption price!! She is in Texas and does not have any place to keep a horse, but Solstace has caught her eye and she wants to help out as much as possible.
What an amazing offer! Let's get this gal a home!!!!!

The grey's are to die for. Joe places them before they have a chance to hit the porch.

Kirsten...if no one steps up for this beautiful mare and she has this most wonderful person willing to pay her ransom any chance the woman for PMR who just adopted Naomi could take her? She's at least have chance!

I've made an offer of a home with Founder Rehab if all of her fees can be covered. So if it gets down to a home offer, I've told Jen we'll be here. If someone else comes forward and really wants her in the mean time, we will be thrilled!!!

Barb in VA has also just offered to be a "back up" home offer for her as well!! She is the lady taking a few horses already, so she still has room for her!! She is going to be talking with Jen and Sam.
This mare is popular!!! We will get her safe!!

I have had some inquiries on this girl, but nothing that I can yet deem as "serious". If anyone needs to contact me about her, please email me: jenn_marek@yahoo.com. I will be happy to give my cell phone number to anyone who wants to talk.
Please remember that a home offer on this thread means nothing. Unless people go through the Placement Specialist and fill out an adoption application, the offers are meaningless. I will do all I can to make sure this horse gets saved, but it is also my responsibility to ensure this horse gets adopted into the right environment. I absolutely love this horse and will do all I can to make sure she gets the right home. HOWEVER, as of 9:25 PM PST, not one application has come in for her.
I don't have any control over Chuck and his decisions, but I will do all I can to save this horse, even if it means adopting her myself!!

Besides all the speculation about Solstace, I also go 2 responses from my ad on EquineHits.com today and forwarded them both to Jenn.

Just a question...is there anyway to discount this mare so the funds are less of an issue?? She's going to go if something doesn't change soon! Any way at all?? (

Have the funds been raised for Solstace or not? What is the status for a home, qt, bail etc?

I don't have any control over Chuck and his decisions, but I will do all I can to save this horse, even if it means adopting her myself!! This post is from JenM, Soltace's Placement Specialist, with the status as-of last night. She doesn't have an approved home offer yet (JenM also posted that she's had a couple "hits" from interested parties), although THREE people (all prior, approved CBER adopters) have posted on this board that they would be a last-minute back-up home, if needed to keep her from shipping, inluding JenM herself, frr2, and BarbinVa. I'm sure JenM will post if she gets an application, and that application gets approved. Reading though this thread, no one has offered any funds...it's entirely possible (and preferred) that an adopter will step up and pay for the horse. If that doesn't happen by Saturday, then we can start to discuss pooling money, if needed, to move this horse into one of the "back-up" homes.

I am still following up on inquiries, some seem legit others are just people poking around. NanciK made a great post and it pretty much sums things up for now. I have not seen any real offers of funds yet.
