He really is looking good! I am never going to get over the shock of the quality of horse that ends up in the slaughter pen.

Spicy is a Hu-uunk, that's for sure!
BTW, everyone, Spicy was saved in part due to the Angel Fund.
This is our mission ... to help save the high risk horses on Shipping Day, by loaning bail funds on a short term basis. We are very flexible -- NOT LIKE A BANK - we want to help the horses. You just need to PROMISE you'll pay the money back, so we can help save the next horse.
It does no one any good for the funds to sit in a Bank Account while horse ship to slaughter.
The Angel Fund has recently helped save Shaw (SOS feedlot) and Flash (CBER feedlot).
We can help ANY horse -- does not need to be a CBER-listed horse.
Contact JenM or NanciK to discuss using the Angel Fund!

ooops!!! Only thing is he is MOST certainly NOT a thoroughbred!!!! Way too short, long sway-backed ( at 11 yrs.!!) and especially big -boned, sure-footed and SUPER SMART!!!! Maybe 14.2 welsh- cob or morgan or? ?? Muttsky/ mustang? What do you guys think?

Reina - I hope you don't mind that I posted one of these pictures of Spicy in Bay Area Equestrian Network classified, "Not All Feedlot Horses are Old, Lame or Untrained".

Go Spicy! Taking a PC'er to their C-1 rating is not too shabby!!
Reina, are you guys going to the D Rally at Travis AFB in April? We are, Icehorse too.

My vote would be for some Morgan.........he looks JUST like my friends' endurance Morgan mares. Does he have a fast walk on him?

Kinda , but not really a fast walk. He could definitely keep right up with the race horses though!!!!This guy will go ALL day! I don't know if our club is going... they usually opt for mock-d in half moon bay. I want to take him to the combined test at Rancho De LOs Amigos in Cull canyon. How far is Travis afb?
