The ad that started it all: FOREST GUMP UGLY-PRICE SHOWS THAT Paint stud colt needs love and attention. In the notes it said: reject of nature, does not fit our standards. He came to us at six months of age without a name, full of worms, lice, and very weak. We may be partial, but we think he is very handsome. ;D
Here he is soon after bringing him home. With him is my daughter, two at the time, who named him.
We had to help him get rid of his woolies this spring, pic shortly after
Mid summer pic, looking good now:
and last, my six year old taking him for a walk after she worked him.
We just adore him.

Thank you. I can't wait to work with him more this summer. We just don't have a place for winter training. Oh well, gives him a break just to be a horse. Every thing on our property is "Justa" something or other. We have "JustaTown" with "JustaMotel", and "JustaAnotherBnB", "JustaFeedStore", "JustaHenHouse" and this summer we hope to complete "JustaSaddlery" and "JustaBeautySalon". Gives us laughs.

too cute! I'm the mini lover on this board...I'm so glad that you got that baby away from the people that had him previously...he is adorable! Those people would think my two year old mini filly is hideous too, her buckskin coloring and winter woolies makes her look like a pygmy goat at this time a year, and boy- the beard she is growing!!!
Your daughter is precious too.......and do you live on JustaFarm???
I wanted to name our place "Dolittle Farm" because we Do little........or Camp Lottallama because I have llamas too....

LOVES THOSE PICTURES!! I'll say it again.. there is nothing in the world like kids and horses!! That last one- I can't help but think that is the beginning of a lifetime of "love of horses"!! A horse trainer in the making! Thanks for posting tfrancis.
By the way cybercat... We need to see some pictures of your "family"- mini's, llamas, and whatever else you have wandering around the property.

We haven't named the place JustaFarm, but that's a good idea. Thanks. I plan to actually make up a sign, like the ones you see welcoming you into a town or city. I'll even put an established date (of course when we got him) and a population count. It will keep us and our neighbors in stitches. Hey cybercat, I am sorry to hear you lost one of your family members. Too bad things have to die so young. when we purchased our calves, they were less then a week old, we lost three out of seven. most of them had gotten sick from the auction house. If your interested... I did find an ad on CL for free Llamas and donkeys. Three Llamas and two donkeys.. Once again, sorry for your loss.

Ack...no more animals for a little while! I'm planning on raising some geese this spring and maybe quail...and I REALLY need to get our old fence replaced...the llamas have been walking it down for the 5 years we've owned the property, so a 5 foot tall fence now looks like a 3 foot fence...! As they say, the grass is always greener...although I have always wanted a donkey.......

I know what you mean about fence. All we did during the summer was put up fence. YUCK. I think a Donkey would be great too. especially one of the spotted ones.
