Everyone is doing great and the last CBER horse at Angis' has a home!
I delivered Felicity to her new lease home a few days ago. Yes Felicity, the beautiful roan filly with burrs in her mane sent to the feedlot by a bucking stock man.. long long ago! I think she came in with the pregnant roan mares, went to foster, back to Sam and then down to Angi.. 18 months ago?
Angi was waiting for the perfect match for her to come along and she did! She is related to the gal that adopted Diamond.
Diamond is doing GREAT! Her mom Susie and she are the best of friends.
Muffin is leased out to the same 4H leader that is leasing my auction filly,
Calypso (Starlit) is living with the same lady that adopted China, Spirit and Blair.
Blossom is with Mary and Jesse who also adopted Cordie and Faith (Faye)
The lady that leased Lil Rascal was taking him on walks in her neighborhood and her neighbors are leasing Dino and Galaxy (an orphan Angi raised)
We had brought Kasey down to go to a 16 y/o girl and Valley for a husband but they ended up swapped. Valley is making a teenager very happy, and the husband brought Kasey to a clinic recently and ADORES her!
It's funny that some ended up in the same place or to relatives and neighbors but I guess they realized what so many of us know.. That these horses have a special capacity for love.
Tiffany/Farnley is still with us, as is Dyna (only I have to figure out how to wean her away from Sevasti who would keep her forever if I let her!)
Its been expensive and time consuming to bring these horses all the way down to So Cal, and care for them.. but I have to say that seeing these horses in their new homes is worth every bit of it.
If I forgot anyone please speak up. I've been watching Robots all weekend. "Our" team (702 The Bagel Bytes) were finalists at the L.A. regional this year so it was a very happy exciting event for us.
My son has been mentoring the team for 6 years. He likes to work were he can take time off to help the team during the build season and has even dropped college classes in the past when they interfered!
