I like to use Photobucket, it's free and easy ;D 1.) Sign up for a free account at Photobucket: photobucket.com/2.) Click the "Browse" button at the top side of the screen to upload a picture from your computer. 3.) after choosing the picture, click on "Submit" and wait for it to upload. 4.) Your choice picture will now be in the photobucket account. 5.) Click on the little square underneath the picture then click on "Edit" above. Click on the preselected 50%, then click "Resize". This will keep the pictures from being huge on the bb. 6.) Copy & Paste the IMG (Very last code) into a post

I've seen links to photobucket before. What I want to know is how to put the photo within the post so you don't have to go to a link. Can anyone help me with that?

Gypsy, I think if you do it the way Jen has described, you actually are posting the picture on the thread, not just posting a link.

Thanks. I did just that and was able to post under my wanted/looking for a horse thread. I just didn't want to sign up for yet another site and download pictures. I just wanted to load them straight from my computer or "cut and paste" or copy straight across. Oh well. Now it's done and I know how to do it so at least when I want to post a picture here, I'll be able to.
Thanks again!

Ok, so how do you get the little square picture underneath the username?

That's called the "avatar", you can post a photo there by going to your profile (see the list of choices at the top of the page, it includes "home", "help", "members", and "profile" and when you're in there you'll see a spot for your avatar.
MTA: oops, forgot to say that when you click on "profile", you then have to click on "modify your profile".

How can you insert a picture directly from your own PC Picture file into a proboards post?
