~ CROSS POST FROM ABR BB ~Dear All, if anyone can help us locate this horse, the owners and breeders will be forever indebted...I just received an email from Priscilla Clark at Tranquility Farm: with her permission I am cross-posting (and please can you also cross-post to other boards). We do not yet have the tattoo number on the horse. Here is Priscilla's email, (with a couple of edits for legal reasons.) Hi Caroline, when you check the lots this weekend there is a horse missing that the owners are desperate to locate. Black Jack Attack, 7 year old , 15,2 H chestnut gelding, narrow white blaze, no white feet. He was last known at Bay Meadows in March. He was in the barn of "trainer xxxx" and he gave the horse to the groom. The groom said the horse went to a "ranch in Mexico" so we know what we are dealing with. The breeders of this horse live in VA and they will pay all expenses of rescue and transport home if we can find him. I have a photo coming and I'll forward that to you as well. Someone needs to check "dealer xxxx"'s lot. I have sent this to Joe in hopes he can find him among the killer lots up north where he probably is, but I want to cover the bases down here as well. Thanks a million, P I'll send on other details as I receive them. ETA - the jockey club will not release tattoo number. Here is a picture of him: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To respond or ask questions, visit this thread: forums.delphiforums.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=alexbrown&msg=22216.1

I can look and see when the next Bakersfeild auction is, (they are on mondays) and I think Mira Loma is this saturday. Barb was talking about going so she can keep an eye out for him there.

Can anyone cover the Turlock auction? It's only 2 hours away from Bay Meadows.
The JC will not release the tattoo #, but the owner should have it.

Joe Shelton's TB Friends blog today says this gelding's tattoo starts with an "E".

He's calculated it. If the horse is 7, then he foaled out in 2001 (all TB's officially are aged by their foal-out year, and turn a year older on Jan 1 each year). Foals from 2001 are tattoo'd with a leading "E"
Nancik, I know you know that - I'm explaining for those who don't.

I have a friend who works at Bay Meadows and knows the trainers and grooms. She is going to check things out and see if she can discover anything.

NEW INFO POSTED ... "Last seen at yard of horse dealer Cheryl Bigon at Santa Rosa CA, approximately Apr. 1."
Does anyone from Sonoma County, CA know Cheryl Bigon, can get more info?

Ronnie Bigons is a well known trader and KB here. Cheryl is his wife.
Chery has stated that she had the horse but sold him, but does not remember where. She said "to a Mexican" but could not say more.
People have already been in touch with her. My guess is that if she knew where this horse was, she'd find him --- $10,000 reward at stake
