Hellloooo HyTymers,
I cannot believe it is already April, I have been seriously slacking on the bulletin, but I am not counting that as a bad thing since so many horses are being placed!!
The Northwest Horse Expo in Albany went excellent, we made many new friends and got alot of potential adopters! Thank you to EVERYONE who helped that weekend!!
On the Adoption Front
Lets just start out with the great news, so far we have placed 11 horses since the beginning of the year, I cannot tell you how great all the adopters have been and our horses are truly blessed to have them. We have been finding great homes!! Thank you to everyone who has been helping with this!
Here is the list so far of adopters, I am keeping a running list on the message board also, please see the horses updates under Adoption updates and wish all of our new adopters a happiness and give big thank yous!!!

Sky, Mindi & Mandi - The Fonteno Family, OR
Anna - The Snyder Family, OR
Jake - Carrie Ann, OR

Chanel is just about adopted, she has a deposit put down on her and we will know for sure on Monday. Chanel will land herself and incredible home! See the pics of Chanel in the river by Stacey's house on her message board thread! AMAZING!
Thank you so much to Stacey and her crew at RIgg's Training for all the help with the training & placement....we could not have placed all these young horses without her invaluable help!
The next horse to go into training with Stacey so she can get adopted is Ada!! YAY Ada. I believe Ada will be easy to place after she has a brush up. So lets all keep our fingers crossed for this nice gal to find her own home soon!
Other horses that are coming along nicely are Spendy, Mac & Miss Vanilla Bean is going to become Ana Mishel's new project! Watch their progress on the message board!!
A BIG thank you to our new volunteer Z (yes her name is Z) she has been so helpful everywhere she is needed! She was so great in Albany and working wonders with the horses!
Even though we have placed this many we are still closed to intakes. We must place at least 20 horses by the end of summer just to get the numbers down to a do able number, then we will place another 5 before we can take in more horses this way we will have 5 spots to work with to help future rescue horses. Thank you to everyone that is helping with this big task. We appreciate your help and commitment to the horses!
AROUND THE BARN:
On a sad note, we put Diedra down yesterday, it was a hard decision but the best one for Diedra, please keep the Elliott Family in your thoughts, Diedra was a beloved part of their family since she was 2 years old. She went peacefully after spending her day grazing, raiding grain tubs (one of her favorite past times) and teasing Benny (another favorite past time).
Old Christy is feeling better, she has been at the vet all week long. After treating her at home for an infection of her vulva per the vets orders, it was not getting all the way resolved, she went to the vet and it was found that her girl parts were not allowing the urine to completely evacuate her body causing infection, she is being treated and had a surgery to fix the defect and will be home soon.
Masquerade saw the vet yesterday, she said she was thin but in good spirits & good health for her age. We made up a feeding plan to try to boost her weight and she is getting time out on the grass. She doesn't have many teeth left at her age, but is getting a nice senior mash. The vet is hopeful she will bounce back in no time. The vet says at her age just make her as happy as possible and that is just what we are doing.
Lucky saw the vet this week after a lameness issue and the vet said he has an old founder from before we got him, Lucky is working with the vet and farrier to fix up his foot. He is looking good and turning out to be a sweet boy.
