Here is a current pic of Dixie, she is adjusting very well to her pasture mate Sione and and her new home. I spoke to the original owner by phone, she is a reg QH, but he did not send in papers, she is out of Dash for Cash and a King line mare. He never named her. She was a working ranch mare. She is extremely well behaved and a joy to be around. She has open access to her stall and paddock at night, she is such a good girl, at dusk she goes into her stall and does not come out until morning.

So glad to see you started this thread~ I've been wondering about you two! Dixie looks like she is enjoying the GOOD LIFE ;D. How are her feet looking these days? She looks like a laid back type girl- Is Sione anymore receptive to her than she was with Ginger? Can't wait for more pictures of you two!

They are a match made in heaven, Poor old Ginger had to be the alpha right up until the end with Sione, however the last few months they managed to get along fairly well. Dixie has now had her feet trimed by natural trimers twice and a vet check, her feet are on a long road to recovery and will take several months but the Vet and Farriers all agree we will see a huge improvement in time. She is on a healthy diet of Teff, small amt Alf and Timothy and horse guard Trifecta and duralactin.

Just to add, your right, she is stunning, visitors almost fall over when they see how beautiful she is. She has perfect conformation, all 16.1 hands of her. She makes 16h TB Sione look small.
