HI everyone! I just wanted to add Sid to the Quarterhorse thread. Sid was rescued from a feedlot by SOS Equine Rescue. I seen him and instantly fell in love with the old boy! He was so neglected-looking and sad. He didn't like being touched too much to begin with. I don't think he was ever "dotted" on and loved-on. He was previously used as a roping horse. He has a brand but from what I have been able to find out..it isn't a WA brand. I have sent his info to surrounding states but haven't heard back yet. Here is what was listed under SID'S SOS Page: Status Urgent Price $270.00 Dates In: 5/15/2008 Out: Stats 5/17/1988 / Gelding / 14'3 Color/Markings Sorrel - Blaze & one hind sock Type/Breed Horse: QH Type Microchiped / Branded Yes / No Source Training rides Concerns really down in the fetlocks, teeth worn to nubs
Description: Sid is a old ranch horse, unable to tell age, but is 20+. He rode ok, not really very happy about it, but as thin as he is I don't blame him. He is very very thin, pretty grouchy, and not really sure what to think if you pet him. I suspect he has been used & put away, kindness isn't something he understands. Picks up feet easily was good, just didn't enjoy or know what to do with attention.
