I'm in love! It's a good thing Faraway Transport doesn't have room coming down to CA...at least it will keep me out of trouble... I have had the worst time getting a ride set up! I wasn't able to fit on either of Dave and Sharon's loads so I might be going that direction myself, So if you really are in love..... I have a four horse trailer, but only one horse to pick up!

You still haven't been able to bring him down? What a bummer! You are being quite the enabler, Tock. As if having a greenbean and a two year old mule aren't enough to keep me busy. But I am so, so tempted to go after this one. I know someone else inquired, but this mare has Sporthorse written all over her and I think this person would turn her into a trail horse...

Tokita... you are making a trip to Washington? Hmmm... I'm inquiring into a horse in Oregon - might be able to help fill up your trailer

There is someone I had heard might be going up, but to Tacoma and not sure when.. but so many plans have failed to come together I don't know whether to trust that or not.
I really hate to drive by myself but I have friday off, and if I can get monday too or get someone to meet me partway then it's really tempting to just go for it.

Want to update on this wonderful girl! Hil came to us Oct 19-had last had a training race on Sept 19 when she bowed a tendon-so they said-she can't race-needs a new home. Calmed down after a bit-was kept by herself to heal-when put in with others-was compatible with 30 year old mare and or older gelding-boss mare was just that-tried to attack her when only spearated by field fence (Hil was too distraced by having the geldings put just opposite to notice Krissie freaking out) Now she has been with both mares-and is standing up to Kris-won't let her push off feed etc. Joe-also 4-range baby-thinks he is boss studman-runs the girls around and herds and cuts when they all together-this is when they aren't all eating peacefully or sleeping in a cozy bunch- Just put both boys in with all 3 girls for the evening too see if she is going to start standing up to Joe also. BUT Monday was shoeing day-she hadn't been shod since having her racing plates pulled last fall-was pretty calm-held up her hind foot and was a tad evasive but didn't move to strike-stayed calm while a large group rode down our road from the camp across the street (although we paused a bit) Had "ONE OF THOSE" conversations with the shoer's friend-While George was being shod-started chatting-re: mustang situation in Neb-the guy said "That's what happens cause the slaughter houses are closed" OMG Anyway I said-"well I think THAT is more a result of a sick hoarder mind out of control-and the horse population needs to be kept in check by people not breeding something just because they happen to have a mare or stud" George BTW is a registered Arabian that came off the feedlot and is a NICE horse-gentle-good ground manners and anyone can ride. Next was Hilary's turn guy was looking at her-commenting on what a nice tall horse she is-good build-nice hip-soft eye etc etc etc-THEN goes on about his saddlebred stud and how he's like to see what she'd throw for him!! HUH!!?? WHAT?? Why? OMG NO!!!! Refer back to our earlier conversation- so anyway he goes on to ask how she rides-I told him I hadn't actually been on her so he advises very wisely to use a tom thumb bit and probably a tie down-and really be aggressively firm with her-really keep her in hand.....hmmmm nice- I'll remember that....... Sooooooo Today I took her a step further-had saddled her with a western saddle-flapped stirrupps around against her sides etc before and some ground work-friend popped by-so I really wasn't planning on getting on board-put some weight in stirrup hung out there-she was allright-remember-this horse is ONLY track broke and hasn't been ridden since September-welllllll she did so good- I cautiously swung on-no big whoop -we walked around a bit-then I had my friend get the camera to show how great she did-walked (saddle-halter& leadrope) then we trotted and she is smooth and responsive SHE IS AWESOME LOVE LOVE LOVE this horse

Wow she is a beauty and a real find. I must say Wildwomen, you look identical to a former co-worker of mine back in the 90's in Las Vegas named Celeste....you both look like actress Andie McDowell

Clinton Kelley thinks I look like Andie McDowell too (maybe on a good day)-remind me to put on my face next time. Just got done riding her again-this time I wore a helmet and she wore a bridle. More walking and trotting-and OMG nothing like having photos taken to kick denial to the curb-REALLY need to get back on my diet. Poor girl was probably thinking "OhMy God Woman-you are so much heavier than those jockies I am used to!" She figured out pretty quickly to stand for mounts/dismounts and is very calm-even when the neighbors dogs were barking at a deer.

She is absolutely gorgeous, WW! You should send that second pic to the tom thumb, tie-down fool and show him what a real horseperson who uses common sense and kindness can do! Jerk! What a great looking mare! You scored! ;D You and Clinton are looking pretty cozy there!

Clinton is as gay as a 50's musical-but real fun and genuinely nice-Stacey on the other hand is a MAJOR Beeee-OTCH-60 people on staff for the show and NOBODY likes her-she really is just a cold-prickly.
