I recieved a E-mail from Sam informing me and Janet that we have been defaming her name etc. and we will be added to her list of people that she is sueing for slander, interesting since I've never sent voice mails, or posted anything defaming her.
I haven't been a CBRES member for over two years.

Hmmm, I wonder which horse will have to go back on the truck to pay her lawyer for all these lawsuits?

Well, hopefully I am on that list too. I would love the chance to go under oath with what I have to say and to present to the court the evidence I have compiled... much of it put into writing by Sam herself. Then it would become a matter of court record and could be cross referenced by anyone who decided to bring a case against CBER, Sam, or Camelot Farms. I do have a heck of a lot more evidence then I have ever presented because I have *NEVER* posted private emails... luckily everything becomes fair game when you are defending yourself in court! Stuff that I have never published because I don't feel it is proper would then become not only public but a matter of public record  The thing about slander cases is that she must PROVE that not only is what you are saying false, but that you knew it was false when you were saying it... and that she somehow suffered measurable damages from it. MTA: In thinking about damages... I'm not sure how much she could sue any of us for since you have to prove that the person's slander caused you to lose money and according to her 2007 personal taxes (that were posted on the CBER BB) she only had an income of $293. Unless her 2008 income was less then $293 then I'm not sure what damages we could have done... and I know that she made more then $293 in 2008 because I paid more then that to her personally. |

I agree with you T, I have saved many things myself, including emails and more. Lets say the Discovery process would be very interesting to say the least!

Sam would have to do a Class Action suite against anything that has two legs, maybe we should change that and have all the horses sue her for an abomination against human treatment to them. They say what goes around comes around.. I am sure in the end she will feel the pain that she's caused ......to the horses that have ever had contact with her.

The E-mail came about due to the placement of the paint filly from Whitman county in to Sams hands.Makes me wonder about what she doesn't want us to know.

Well, heck, it would be interesting to counter sue. I have PROOF IN WRITING that she has made false written statements about me and PROOF IN WRITING that she knew they were false at the time of her making those written statements... AND I am pretty sure that I can prove I actually suffered damages from it. I tend to not feel the need to take things to court, but heck, if she already had me there it wouldn't be anything extra to add a counter claim. You all remember that crap she was throwing out about me when CBER screwed up their own website and database two months after I resigned and handed over control, right? Oh, you can bet I saved all of that crap... I figured it might come up again at some point and maybe this is it.
As a friend keeps telling me... "As the (rescue) world turns..."
