Once I was approved to adopt from CBER. This horse is the one I "emotionally bonded" with, if such a thing is really possible online. Flapper (the first one, circuit Summer of 2006) The day I called, prepared to adopt Flapper I was told by the adoption contact that he had just been adopted by some woman back east. This was right after the Cuddly Cowgirl horror fest. I never quite believed what I was told. Does anyone know the truth? Thanks, Cherie

HI Cherie
I am the one that took Flapper's picture at the lot and cleaned and doctored the wound there till he left to go to Sams at her place. At least the lot owner let us keep him in a separate pen from the main group when we saw that until he left. That poor guy looked terrible, he was also very thin. He was such a kind guy to let me clean it there, as it must have been painful, but he knew I was trying to help him. As you see in the pics, he did go to Sams and she did keep doctoring him and he gained a bunch of weight. He was moved from the QT side to the other side of her farm which was for her personal horses or horses belonging to others that were out of QT. I did see him there myself and he looked good. While I do not know who he went to, I know he did not go to CCG and I was told he went to someone who S knew that had gotten some other horses. I do feel she liked him and she did spend a lot of time doctoring him, so I don't think he was dumped.

What about the little horse they named Stitch. I think he was a young paint with a large wound on his face.

Stitch was female. Pure white with a brown head and a brown patch on her chest. I was her PS and I worked like mad to find her a home... when I found her one I called up Sam to ask some final questions that the gal had about Stitch and Sam told me that she had sent Stitch to a gal named Theresa from Oregon.
