Formerly All the King's Horses, we are an equine shelter located in South Central Idaho. We have changed our focus from rescuing horse owners to rescuing Appaloosas that are in danger of neglect, abuse or slaughter. We are also focusing on educating the public regarding the history and importance of the Appaloosa breed as our state symbol. We are currently conducting fundraisers locally in order to construct a facility suitable for blind or partially blind horses as this is a common problem for the Appaloosa. We can provide references upon request.
Please don't let another appaloosa go to slaughter.

That sounds like a really good idea, there is a real need for help for blind or going blind, horses. The Rolling Dog ranch in Montana is a great model and I am sure would be helpful as they are often so full they cannot take others, and they are a wealth of information and knowledge regarding sight issues in animals. I have met Steve and talked on the phone before with Alayne there and have hauled a horse or two part way to meet Steve when coming across a blind one discarded, and they are great. Wish you all the best, would like to give you a small donation, PM me the info if you want!

Hey, thanks for the offer of a donation, but until we get our Articles of Incorporation filed with the state, we're not ready to accept donations. There have been too many bad rescues around that have made it difficult to convince people here that we're a good investment. We're hoping to overcome that by dotting all our i's and crossing all our t's...and fingers!!

We need help finding placement for a nine year old mustang mare and her 2 year old offspring. Due to financial difficulties, the owner is having to cut back from 4 horses to 2 this winter. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I am financially unable to take any more at this time.
