The lady who adopted Zazu (not to be confused with the TWH Yasu - that's another story).....anyway, Zazu is a beautiful black TB that was on the feedlot 2/7/08.
The lady just informed that she is pregnant (Zazu) and within a month of giving birth. She was supposed to have been taken off the feetlot on 2/7/08, which is now over 14 months.
So how she can be in foal?? She was at Sam's until June.
Does Sam have a stallion at her farm? Are there any other adopters that have discovered their mares are pregnant when their horses should have been separated at Sam's in QT?

Sam had a nice TB stallion named Jumron... but he died 4/25/08.

Well, depending on what caused him to die. A stallion could cover mares and die a few hours later.
What kind of horse was Jumron. Have a DNA done if they really want to know. If he died last April, he could have foals on the ground up to that time this year even later as some mares can carry a foal past a year.

Apparently, sam is 'extremely insulted' that someone would even insinuate that she would "EVER" cover a rescue horse with the type of stallion that jumron was. She says she would never let a quality stallion that she owned be exposed to rescue horses, let alone rescue diseases!

Perhaps, she wasn't taken off the lot in February. Maybe, she was exposed to another rescue horse that was in tact while at Sam's place. Maybe she was impregnated by Jumron due to mismanagement at Sam's place. I don't know, but Sam's "extremely insulted" reaction is to be expected. I mean that I would expect her to be insulted that others would think she was incompetent enough to expose a QT horse to a stallion. Any stallion. Huh, I think the lady ( I use the term loosely ) doth protest too much and with the wrong premise! Sam was paid good money to ensure that the mare was taken care of during QT. The mare was apparently impregnated during QT. Let's keep our eyes on the ball...
Modified to make sure I'm being clear because I was ticked off and typing fast during the first rendition of this post.

Careful, sam may charge extra for the foal. Better hide that mare, especially if she did get covered by her stallion.

I'm happy to hear that Sam's stud was very nice, but that's not the issue ( at least for me ). The disturbing part is that the mare was most likely bred while in Sam's care ( QT or regular boarding).
