You may remember in the summer of 2007, a number of Jersey baby day-old calves were rescued from the saleyard here where they were being left to die, (sale owner was going to shoot 'em if left at end of day) We took in 3 little guys out of the bunch and after a touch and go month where they almost didn't make it due to the bad start they had, I pulled them through ( long story, heroic effort, vet amazed we saved them) but then they thrived and have done very very well. They are about 20 mos old, we castrated them at a young age and they learned to wear a halter and were kind of halter broke ( one is still pretty good) they absolutely love us and take horse cookies from our hands and always come up to see us, semi-tame, etc. They have been well fed and are healthy, no chemicals, etc. We are looking for a home for them, I do NOT want to sell them at a sale, couldn't bear to think of them being manhandled or shocked, etc. They do still have their horns, but are respectful when asked. Would like something to recoup some of the expenses if possible. Anyone interested let me know! Thanks. Will try to get pics here soon.

I would love to have a pet home or homes for them, wasn't sure if anyone out there was interested in that. My farrier said we could teach them to drive like the old oxen in the the pioneer days, and there is even an old guy here who has done that, but we just don't have the time or money to do it, even though it would be cool! They are pretty funny and crack me up.
