I have a 7 year old 16.1 HH bay TB gelding. He is a sweet boy and has great ground manners. Was raced (never ran his maiden) and is registered with the Jockey Club. He came to me skin and bones but now he is a good weight and healthy. He has been regularly seen by an equine chiro, UTD on shots, worming, and farrier. Eats Bermuda grass and beet pulp.
Gets along very well with other horses, would do fine in a pasture setting. Currently he is stabled in a box stall with run and does well there also. Bathes and ties. Has been moving well under saddle, I currently ride him English but he could go Western as well. He will come with his schooling saddle, bridle, and bit.
He is NOT for beginners. Green-broke and still young, needs an intermediate/advanced rider. He is very easy to train, willing to learn. Ground drives, works in side reins. Lunges and rides over trot poles. I have started to introduce him to jumps. Goes on trail with a buddy, too ner vous to go alone right now. With more miles he should be fine. Knows his voice commands, you can lunge without a whip.
Trailers in a slant load or a stock trailer. Does not go willingly into a straight load unless it is warmblood size and has no seperator bar between the doors.
Is a nervous horse unless you can show him you will take care of him. He does best on a strict schedule, he will anticipate working and it makes him anxious. He is slow to bond but once he does, he will follow you everywhere. Temperment is a 7 (hot) on a 1-10 scale.
Need to find a new home for him asap. My whole company was laid off and I can not afford to feed him or pay his board next month. Please email me for more info and let me know when you want to see him. All offers considered, good home is more important.
