Hi Heidi (or anyone else that may have been assisting with the lot horses back in August 05) I got 2 off the lot that month. a mostly leopard appy gelding and a bay Arab gelding. I have recently made contact with the previous owner of the Arab-(registered name 'Protege VE' nickname at the time "Sundance")and when her vet discovered he had problems with the bones in his feet preventing him from continuing endurance rides-HE promised her a 'forever home' and said he would call her if it came down to him not being able to keep him. Now we are trying to figure out how he ended up at the feedlot and by who's doing. Does anyone have any record or memory of who may have dropped him off or how he got there? I know it is a long shot after so many years.

He was pretty newly arrived to the lot when you came. I will look back through my stuff to see if I can see anything. At that time, Chuck was picking up a lot of horses cheap at local sales, but also went around to people's places if they called him with a horse or people would bring them directly to him at the lot.
