Sorry - I just have to shout it to the world!!! After 2 long years of working with the attorney, after hours and hours and mounds and mounds of paperwork.....

Strawberry Mountain Mustangs Inc has been approved by the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) Non Profit Organization!!!!!! WAHOOOOO!!!!!!!! Effective date of exemption: March 15, 2005

In case anyone wonders - we were incorporated in 2005, started with the attorney then, filed the paperwork in June of this year - and JUST NOW got the approval!!! It's a long, drawn out, complicated process. I recommend anyone who tries for it - please contact an attorney. You will be happy you did!!!

Thanks.... it's been seriously stressful, confusing, you name it! It is SO WONDERFUL to have this done so that I can start applying for grants etc. We've had some wonderful supporters over the last couple years who donated - counting on the fact that all donations would be deductible - retroactively to our date of incorporation. Now we can start going for the larger grants to help us with shelters, hay barn, fencing etc! I COULD JUST SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS!!!
